Getting ‘heat’ is an indispensable part of the wrestling industry, with the ability to garner reactions from an audience the key to making an angle, match, or character a surefire hit.

However, heat can come with it’s own set of problems, and according to former WWE staff member and current MLW head Court Bauer, one former WWE heel was ‘afraid’ of heat, with Bauer telling The Masked Man Show:

"When I was at WWE, there was a guy named Muhammad Hassan, he was scared of the heat," Bauer said. "There's a lot of reasons that thing blew up. There was a lot of things that went into that going away, including The Undertaker and some piano wire, but when a guy's scared of the heat, it's so hard to get up and running. I think heat's important to wrestling, and the concept of heat in wrestling is so important."

Muhammad Hassan remains one of the most controversial characters in WWE history, with his feud with The Undertaker in 2005 leading to mass complaints.
