A Match For Cody Rhodes Has Been Announced For Next Week's WWE SmackDown

Another match has been added to the card for next week’s WWE SmackDown. After appearing to help out with the reunion of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, the number one contender for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes, is set for another appearance on the blue brand.
During the SmackDown LowDown, Cody Rhodes was interviewed about his Road to WrestleMania, before being interrupted by Imperium members Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, who took issue with Rhodes entering the Royal Rumble at number 30 and eliminating GUNTHER, who had been in there since number 1 on his way to setting an all-time record.
Kaiser and Rhodes traded some back and forth words, before Rhodes got down to business and challenged Kaiser to a match on next week’s WWE SmackDown, to which Kaiser accepted, in what will be a first time ever singles match.
With the addition of this new match, the March 24 WWE SmackDown card is looking like this;
- Cody Rhodes vs. Ludwig Kaiser
- Rey Mysterio vs. LA Knight
