The libel trail between CM Punk, Colt Cabana, and WWE doctor Chris Amann appears to have been delayed, having been scheduled to take place this morning.

Amann filed the lawsuit against Punk and Cabana in 2015,after Punk's infamous appearance on Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast, where he discussed his various grievances with WWE at length. In the podcast, he alleged that Amann misdiagnosed a staph infection and mistreated a concussion.

Austin Kellerman reported the delay on Twitter also noting that 'timing would have been tough for Punk given training schedule for upcoming UFC fight'.

Punk is set to face Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in Chicago, Illinois. The event takes place on June 9th, meaning that Punk is almost certainly already in the midst of a training camp.

Both Punk and Jackson have a 0-1 MMA record, and both losses came against Mickey Gall. Jackson is a welterweight, standing 6'2" and fighting out of Houston, Texas.

Punk hit wrestling headlines recently when it was announced that he'll be making an appearance in Chicago this September, in association with ProWrestlingTees. That appearance happens to coincide with the build to 'All In', the independently promoted event spearheaded by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks. This has, of course, led to intense speculation that Punk will be making some sort of appearance at the show itself - although nothing has been officially announced to suggest that.

Should Punk appear, it will be his first involvement at a wrestling show since walking out of WWE in early 2014.
