Christopher Daniels Reacts To AEW 'Firing' By The Young Bucks

Christopher Daniels might not be on All Elite Wrestling TV for a little while as he was "fired" by The Young Bucks following The Fallen Angel and Matt Sydal's loss to Matthew and Nicholas Jackson on the May 15 episode of Dynamite.

The Bucks fired Daniels after the match, saying he was an obstacle in their mission to improve AEW. Daniels is an AEW original, having signed with the company in 2019. Alongside being a wrestler, he is the Head of Talent Relations.

Daniels' addressed his firing in a digital exclusive, tearfully saying:

"My whole life, I was proud to be a professional wrestler. I love wrestling, but I also knew it was a grind. I was always trying to get that stability, that foundation for my life. Not for me. For my wife, for my daughter, for my son. All the years, all the companies that I was part of, TNA, Ring of Honor, it was always just out of reach, that stability, that foundation, that sure feeling that I was taken care of. 

"Finally, when it was near the end of my career, along comes AEW. Yeah, I was super fortunate that Matt and Nick Jackson asked me to come along for the ride, to be here from the very first day. Finally, I could look at my wife, I could look at my daughter and my son, and tell them that everything was gonna be okay. I know these jobs can be taken from you like that, but I never thought it would be Matt and Nick that took the job away from me. So Matt, Nick, I hope you're f*cking happy, you son of a bitch. [Slams chair]."

While Christopher Daniels may be away from AEW in storyline, this does leave a roster spot open for a new talent. If Curry Man's AEW debut is on the horizon remains to be seen, however.

Christopher Daniels continues to have an acclaimed in-ring career. He was in what Cultaholic believes to be the best TNA pay-per-view main event in the promotion's history.
