Two huge names have come back to the IMPACT Zone after Christopher Daniels and El Phantasmo both made their returns on the 23 September episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

Daniels, currently a member of the AEW roster, surprisingly returned following this week's main event, which saw Josh Alexander defeat Madman Fulton. Fulton attacked Alexander after his defeat and was aided by Ace Austin, leading to IMPACT World Champion Christian Cage running down to help his Bound For Glory 2021 challenger.

With Cage and Alexander not seeing eye to eye, the door was open for Austin and Fulton to attack them both, prompting Daniels to make his shock return and take out both men.

After the show ended, IMPACT shared a clip on social media of Daniels explaining he wanted to compete in the new IMPACT, leading to Scott D'Amore booking The Fallen Angel vs. Fulton on next week's show.

El Phantasmo's own return came earlier in the episode as he helped fellow Bullet Club members Hikuleo and Chris Bey. After David Finlay defeated Hikuleo, he and Juice Robinson were about to deliver a devastating attack until Phantasmo came out to make the save. The Bullet Club trio then left FinJuice laid out.

El Phantasmo previously worked three matches with IMPACT earlier this year, earning a shot at the X-Division Title before losing to then-champion John Alexander at the Under Siege event in May.
