IWGP Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho again showed up unannounced in New Japan Pro Wrestling, making a sneak attack after entering the arena in disguise.

Jericho hasn't wrestled in New Japan since winning the IC title from Tetsuya Naito at Dominion on June 9th.

At today's King of Pro Wrestling event, he attacked EVIL while disguised as one of the druids that sometimes accompany the LIJ member to the ring. EVIL had previously mentioned Jericho in promos, setting up an apparent feud and title match.

Jericho left after laying out EVIL in the middle of the ring, apparently setting the wheels in motion for his next New Japan match. However, it wasn't the only feud alluded to in this segment.

Y2J's attack caused the referee to wave off the scheduled match between EVIL and Zack Sabre Jr., calling the bout a no contest. An infuriated ZSJ attacked the incapacitated EVIL until stablemate Naito ran out to make the save. This could suggest a future match between Naito and Zack - possibly at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4th.

It was the second surprise appearance of an eventful show, as LIJ also revealed their newest member prior to an eight-man tag against members of CHAOS.

The new man was revealed to be Dragon Gate stalwart Shingo Takagi, a 14-year veteran who recently wowed PWG fans en route to the final of this year's Battle of LA tournament. A pre-existing link to the stable was established by commentary, who pointed out that Takagi and LIJ leader Naito were both trained by Animal Hamaguchi.
