No brand warfare at WWE Survivor Series

Survivor Series

The much-criticised brand warfare concept that was common at Survivor Series in recent years is not expected to return.

The November WWE pay-per-view was often built around SmackDown vs. Raw with champion vs. champion matches and the traditional five vs. five elimination match but brand warfare was scrapped in 2022 for WarGames.

WarGames is reportedly planned for the 2023 edition of Survivor Series on November 25 in Chicago, Illinois and despite issues between Raw and SmackDown being teased in recent days, there are no plans for Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns to face off in a Champion vs. Champion match.

This is according to Dave Meltzer, who said on Wrestling Observer Radio: "They're not going to do that. I can tell you for sure. That's not on this year's Survivor Series."

Roman Reigns is not currently advertised for Survivor Series so the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion may not even be in action at the event. Seth Rollins is featured in advertising for Survivor Series so he may well defend the World Heavyweight Title on November 25.
