All Elite Wrestling's Cash Wheeler (real name Daniel Wheeler) won't be standing trial next week on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, Mike Johnson of PWInsider first reported.

The case against Wheeler has been dropped by prosecutors, with the prosecutor's office filing "Nolle Prosequi", a legal notice to drop and abandon the case. There is no word on why prosecutors decided to drop the case against Wheeler but it was officially closed as of 3 pm on Monday, May 13.

Wheeler was scheduled to be present for a pre-trial hearing on May 14 before the case went to trial on May 20.

Wheeler was arrested in August 2023 after being charged with aggravated assault with a firearm following an incident in Florida last July. It was alleged the FTR member "flashed a gun" at another driver during a road rage incident. Wheeler pleaded not guilty to the charges.

If he had been convicted, Wheeler would have faced up to five years in prison, five years probation, and a $5000 fine.

Wheeler has never directly commented on the issue publicly and he has remained present on All Elite Wrestling TV since last Summer. He is currently in a programme against The Elite that will see Wheeler team with Dax Harwood, Eddie Kingston, and Bryan Danielson to take on The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry in an Anarchy in the Arena Match at Double Or Nothing on Sunday, May 26.
