Bryan Danielson To Be Inducted Into ROH Hall Of Fame

Bryan Danielson is the second inductee into the Ring Of Honor Hall Of Fame, the promotion announced today.

ROH touted Danielson as "the embodiment of fighting spirit and technical wrestling excellence" as well as "a superior technician, striker and submission specialist."

Danielson was a part of Ring Of Honor from the very beginning, performing in the main event of the promotion's inaugural show as American Dragon against Low Ki and Christopher Daniels.

Danielson then went on to become one of the promotion's top stars, winning Survival Of The Fittest in 2004 before he captured the ROH World Title in 2005, defeating James Gibson.

Danielson held the gold for 462 days, defending it a record 38 times before he lost to Homicide in December 2006.

Danielson had a longtime feud with Nigel McGuinness while in ROH and he defeated his rival to unify the ROH World and Pure Titles.

The American Dragon would leave ROH in 2009 to join WWE and outside of a couple of months, he would remain with Vince McMahon's company until 2021.

A career retrospective on Danielson will be featured on this week's edition of Ring Of Honor Wrestling, followed by a YouTube special on the 40-year-old on Monday, February 14.

Danielson joins The Briscoes in the ROH Hall Of Fame.
