Bryan Danielson has made no secret of the fact that his in-ring career is winding down, with 2024 set to be his last year as a full-time competitor.

The American Dragon made a promise to his daughter that his schedule would lighten once she turned seven and fans can expect to see less and less of the AEW star going forward. Tony Khan is letting Danielson do what he wants in his final full-time year as a pro-wrestler.

Though he may be cutting back on matches, the 42-year-old has no desire to ever fully retire.

Speaking with SI ahead of his match with Will Ospreay at last night's AEW Dynasty pay-per-view, Danielson said:

"Expect the best version of Bryan Danielson. After I am no longer wrestling full-time, that will be different. Unless something happens medically, I'll never retire. Now will it be my best work? I don't know. But there is something to be said about going out and performing in front of a small audience, which I am very passionate about. But that's later on. Now, expect the best. That's what you're going to get at Dynasty".

Ospreay defeated Danielson at Dynasty. Following the match, AEW shared footage of The Aerial Assassin helping his opponent to the doctor's training room backstage.
