Brock Lesnar

WWE fans are expecting to see WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in action at SummerSlam 2018 in some form or fashion. The Beast Incarnate hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since the Greatest Royal Rumble event in April, and it looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer until we see him again.

Mike Johnson of

PWInsider

has revealed that Brock will not be working The Biggest Party Of The Summer in August - noting, the 40-year-old might not be set to return to television until later in the year.

"I am hearing Brock isn’t working SummerSlam," Johnson said. "We may not see Brock again until later in the year, which is madness if you think about the belt."

Johnson later added the reason we might not be getting a Lesnar appearance at SummerSlam is due to the number of contracted dates WWE have left to use The Beast. "It could be that they may only have a couple of dates left on Brock. If they want him more often then maybe they should sign him to some more dates. It will be interesting to see how WWE books their Universal Title picture and SummerSlam moving forward."

It looked like Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns would face-off at Extreme Rules with the winner going on to challenge Lesnar at SummerSlam. If Brock is indeed going to miss the event, it's going to be interesting to see how the title picture on Monday nights is going to play out with the supposed main champion missing for even longer than most fans expected him to be.
