WWE have announced that Brock Lesnar has re-signed with the company, following reports of a backstage altercation between the Superstar and Vince McMahon after last night's WrestleMania 34 main event.

In a statement from their official website, WWE stated:

'WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon announced today that Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has re-signed with WWE. Lesnar’s next appearance is scheduled for the Greatest Royal Rumble event, where he will compete against Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage Match for the Universal Title at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27, at 7 p.m. AST.'

Lesnar retained the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 34, defeating Roman Reigns in one of many surprising results on the night.

He is then rumoured to have had a verbal altercation with Vince McMahon upon returning backstage, as reported by

'Sources tell us the brief, but heated incident ended with Brock throwing the Universal Title belt — some say at Vince, some say at a wall — then walking away. No word yet on what set him off.

We’re told there’s a belief that Brock may have gone off script a little bit near the end of the match, but we’ve been unable to confirm if this is true.'

The Lesnar vs. Reigns rematch joins three other confirmed matches on the Greatest Royal Rumble card. The eponymous Rumble will see 50 Superstars compete - the largest number of Royal Rumble competitors in WWE history. Elsewhere, John Cena will face Triple H, and Seth Rollins will defend his newly-won Intercontinental Championship in a four-way ladder match against Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and The Miz.
