Britt Baker absent from AEW Dynamite due to illness

A planned Owen Hart Foundation Tournament first-round match between Britt Baker and Ruby Soho was postponed due to Baker missing the June 28 edition of AEW Dynamite through illness.
Baker was set to take on long-time rival Soho in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, but the two will now clash on the July 5 Dynamite instead.
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan revealed the news on Twitter prior to Dynamite airing, writing the following:
“Due to illness, 2022 Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament Winner Dr. Britt Baker DMD isn't cleared to wrestle tonight vs Ruby Soho. Ruby Soho will be in action tonight, + the 2023 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Quarterfinal Britt Baker vs Ruby Soho will take place next week.”
Baker’s boyfriend Adam Cole was pulled from AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II on June 25 due to illness, with it later revealed that the former ROH World Champion was suffering with a fever and chills. It is unknown at the time of writing if Baker is dealing with the same illness.
