Former WWE NXT star Bodhi Hayward has reacted to his release from the company. He was one of five performers released yesterday.
Speaking on a video posted to his Twitter account (under his real name Brady Booker), he said:
"I'm hurt, I'm embarrassed, and Brodies, I'm just down bad. For the last eighteen months, Andre Chase University and wrestling has been my whole life. But I am no stranger to adversity. Adversity is something that has come up my whole life, and I've always found a way to get on top. I will do it again. I'm Brady Booker, and I'm here to stay".
The video was accompanied by the hashtag '#30Days' - the standard length of time of a released NXT performer's non-compete clause.
Hayward typically accompanied Chase U's leader Andre Chase to the ring and had wrestled on NXT, NXT Level Up and 205 Live since the beginning of the year.
Andre Chase also commented on Hayward's release, writing on Twitter:
"I just want to publicly thank @bodhihaywardWWE for his dedication to #ChaseU. I will always appreciate him being my first scholarship athlete, but more importantly I will always appreciate his friendship. Keep going!!".
Hayward was signed by WWE to a developmental deal in August of 2021.
