Becky Lynch Talks Relinquishing The WWE Raw Women's Championship
She even suggested having one more match...

On the Raw after the Money In The Bank pay-per-view, Becky Lynch made her way to the ring and announced she had to go away for a little while because she was pregnant. She then relinquished the title to Asuka who won the Money In The Bank Ladder match the night before.
The Man was a recent guest on The Bellas Podcast and revealed she discovered she was pregnant only days after WrestleMania 36 was taped. After telling WWE, Becky pitched ideas for how she could drop the title and she even considered having a quick match against Shayna Baszler despite being pregnant. Seth Rollins quickly shot this idea down, however, and WWE ultimately decided to have the Money In The Bank Ladder match secretly be for Lynch's title.
Becky said: "It was like, 'Ah, frick. Is there like a way that she can just beat me real quick?' Colby's like, 'No! No, you're not, no.' Like, 'Yeah, you're right, you're right.' Then we talked a lot and decided, 'Okay, well like what if there's a tournament for the number one contendership?' So the people, they don't know that they're actually going to be competing for the title, and then right as they go to have that last match whoever gets there at the end I tell them, 'Well actually, this is for the title.'
"But, Money In The Bank was happening at the same time so it was too confusing to merge the two, so they just decided they would just do the Money In The Bank Ladder match and have that as the title match essentially but without them knowing."
