Andrade El Idolo has not been seen on AEW TV since All Out in September, with the former NXT Champion revealing this week that he has been out of action with a torn pectoral muscle.
Andrade underwent surgery in November and is likely to miss around eight months of ring time. Taking to Twitter, El Idolo revealed exactly where he picked up his injury:
"THIS IS THE MATCH WHERE MY INJURY HAPPENED I LEAVE YOU PART OF THE MATCH. You can't imagine in what movement we can get injured, it happened to me in the 6-man Suplex almost starting the match but I wanted to finish as a professional."
Andrade linked a video clip, showing himself, RUSH, and Dragon Lee taking a triple suplex by The Elite during their Trios Title Tournament match on the August 17 edition of Dynamite. Andrade’s appearance in the All Out Casino Ladder Match occurred on September 4, his only match since the injury happened.
Andrade was scheduled for a match against Dark Order’s 10 after All Out, but it was scrapped after Andrade was suspended for his part in a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara.
