We were fortunate enough to be part of a recent WWE conference call with former WWE Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, and heard her take on many topics including her upcoming matches with Ronda Rousey and Trish Stratus.

One of the more surprising aspects of the call was the fact that Bliss found out about her match at WWE Evolution via Twitter, at the same time as everybody else did.

She will face Trish Stratus at the show on October 28th, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show is set to be WWE's first ever all-women's pay per view, and will also see Lita take on Mickie James, as well as the final of this year's Mae Young Classic tournament.

Bliss later cited Trish as a key influence of hers, particularly in terms of cadence and composure on the mic. She also mentioned how she draws upon real life experiences to enrich her wrestling persona, observing people in public places such as airports. She explained that if somebody does something that irritates her in real life, she'll try to incorporate that into her own character.

Several questions in the call centred around the juxtaposition between Bliss' popularity and her current heel persona, to which she replied that it is her job to have the crowd booing her by the end of the night.

Bliss also spoke positively about the recent influx of WWE Superstars with an MMA background - such as current Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, former NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, and new NXT signing Matt Riddle.

She stated that facing Superstars such as Rousey is a positive challenge, forcing everybody to work a different style and become more well-rounded wrestlers as a result. Bliss likened it to when Asuka first arrived in WWE with a Japanese style based around strikes and submission, giving her opponents a different kind of in-ring experience.

Alexa will face Ronda Rousey in a rematch for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at Hell in a Cell on September 16th.
