AJ Styles "Badly" Wants One Match With Edge
A clash of two old pros...

At 43 years of age, one might think that any dream match involving AJ Styles would pit "The Phenomenal One" against a young upstart, a "next big thing." In his eyes, however, his "bucket list" opponent is actually older than him.
On a recent Twitch stream, Styles spoke about his desire to wrestle the currently-injured Edge at least once before he hangs up the boots.
"I've got to have a match with Edge before him and I both retire," Styles said. "I think that's something that we both want. I know he tore his tricep, and hopefully it's a speedy recovery for him. That's one that I want badly, and I think that he would like to have one as well. It would be great. I'm still looking forward to it, Edge."
The two briefly collided in this year's men's Royal Rumble match, with Edge memorably spearing Styles, and Styles suffering a short-term injury off of a frenetic bump.
At the time of Edge's retirement in 2011, AJ Styles had been Impact Wrestling's cornerstone for nine years, and was still five years out from signing with WWE.
