The injury list continues growing for AEW. At the 2024 AEW Dynasty PPV, Julia Hart was soundly defeated in quick fashion by Willow Nightingale, dropping the TBS Championship and bringing her reign to an end after 155 days. There was some surprise about how quickly Hart lost, though it emerged that she’d worked the event injured, explaining why she took very few bumps and didn’t spend too long in the ring.

Julia Hart took to social media over the last week to reveal that she’d undergone surgery, which was followed up by Dave Meltzer noting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the surgery over the last week was on her left shoulder, and came about due to injuries suffered in her April 10 match against Leyla Hirsch on Rampage. Hart would go on to work a mixed tag team match on Dynamite, teaming with Brody King to take on Willow Nightingale and Adam Copeland, before then defending her belt at Dynasty.

PWInsider noted that after undergoing surgery, Julia Hart is not expected to be back in action for AEW until at least the summer or early fall.
