AEW Shows Off Blood Effects In Fight Forever
Jon Moxley will be delighted with this AEW Fight Forever feature
May 24, 2023
All Elite Wrestling's first-ever console video game is set to be released next month after it was revealed that AEW Fight Forever will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC from Thursday, June 29.
AEW Fight Forever has been in development since the summer of 2020 and the game was originally set to be released in late 2022 but it was delayed while AEW and THQ Nordic tried to secure a Teen rating from the ESRB, the organisation which assigns age ratings for video games in the United States and Canada.
AEW and THQ Nordic eventually secured the rating they wanted by toning down blood in the video game, among other features, which prompted some to fear that blood had been removed from Fight Forever altogether.
That isn't the case, though, and as revealed in the above and below screenshots, there will still be plenty of blood on show when fans pick up AEW Fight Forever on June 29.
The reason for AEW Fight Forever's unusual release date is so the game's release is close to the Wednesday, June 28 edition of Dynamite, which is set to have "heavy synergy" with the video game in an attempt to drive last-minute pre-orders. Marketing for AEW Fight Forever is set to ramp up in the next several weeks.
