AEW's Kenny Omega Taking Time Off To ‘Fix’ Things

As seen on last night’s edition of AEW: Dynamite, Kenny Omega revealed he is taking time away to ‘fix things’ after his AEW World Championship loss to Hangman Page at Full Gear.

In a short backstage piece that opened up the show, a sombre Omega congratulated Page but said he was disgusted that The Elite lost their matches at Full Gear, and before any rematch with Page can happen he needs to take some time away to fix things.

Omega then asked The Superkliq to hold down the fort while he was away, with Adam Cole replying “Cleaner I got this” as a perturbed Omega said he was actually talking to The Young Bucks.

After Full Gear it was reported that Omega was wrestling with a banged up shoulder, and a reported medical evaluation yesterday suggested that Omega would require surgery on the shoulder. This goes along with the fact that Omega revealed he’s been working with vertigo since 2018.

Kenny has a AAA Mega Championship defence against Hijo Del Vikingo at TripleMania Regia on December 4, but there is no word yet on if Omega will still be wrestling at the event.
