Last night’s AEW: Dynamite was a special episode commemorating the life of Jon Huber aka Brodie Lee. A highly emotional affair, it was a showcase for Huber and his colleagues in The Dark Order, and served as a celebration of an exceptional man with an exceptional career.

Throughout the night tributes were paid to Huber, paying tribute to his career in AEW, WWE, and across the independent scene with promotions such as Chikara.

In the closing segment of the show, Huber’s wife Amanda, eldest son Brodie, Preston ‘10’ Vance, Tony Khan, and Cody Rhodes paid further tribute to Huber in the ring. Cody and Brodie Jr. set Huber’s boots down, before Tony Khan proclaimed Huber as the greatest ever TNT Champion, handing the title belt to Brodie Jr. and proclaiming that he shall reign as champion forever.

During AEW’s post-show on YouTube, Tony Schiavone confirmed that the inaugural TNT Title Belt had been retired out of respect, and that a new design would be debuting soon for champion Darby Allin:

“Little Brodie, -1 if you will, is always going to have that TNT belt. We’ll come up with a new belt. That’ll be his.”

AEW recently announced that they had signed Brodie Lee Jr. to an official contract.
