The Friday 8 October episode of AEW Rampage once again saw a significant drop in viewership for a seventh consecutive week, resulting in the lowest audience share in the show's short history.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and ShowBuzzDaily, AEW Rampage on October 8 scored 502,000 viewers, which is a 19 per cent decrease from last week's total of 622,000 viewers and takes the slot of being the show's lowest viewed episode yet.

It is worth noting that Rampage faced major competition for its audience share in the form of the Major League Baseball play-offs. AEW Rampage ranked 15th on cable on Friday Night.

The latest viewership number marks the seventh consecutive week Rampage has garnered a record-low audience. AEW's secondary show has not increased in viewership since the August 20 broadcast from the United Center in Chicago, which had teased at and ultimately saw the long awaited return of CM Punk to professional wrestling.

The October 8 episode of Rampage also earned a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The AEW show will go up against WWE Friday Night SmackDown this coming week. It is worth noting that the Friday 8 episode of SmackDown had 2.147 million viewers with a 0.52 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
