Former WWE NXT stars Grizzled Young Veterans are believed to be in talks with All Elite Wrestling.

The GYV made their AEW debut in April with a loss to former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed, and a report from Fightful Select says the two sides have been in ongoing talks about a full-time deal.

Whilst there is scope for the duo of Zack Gibson and James Drake to work more with AEW, at this point their full-time signing isn’t ‘considered a slam dunk’, although AEW does reportedly maintain a strong interest in the team.

Since leaving WWE in October 2023 after the expiration of their deals, Gibson and Drake have been working the independent scene in Europe and the USA, and have also made several appearances for TNA Wrestling, although the pair have been working for TNA without a deal. In TNA, GYV wrestled a trilogy of matches with ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey) but finished up with the company in March, at least for the time being.

During their career, Grizzled Young veterans have reigned as NXT UK Tag Team Champions, and have held tag gold in UK indies such as RevPro and PROGRESS.
