After three months Jon Moxley is back and looking better than ever. A rejuvenated Mox was welcomed back by 99.9999% of the AEW crowd, and after dropping a deserved f-bomb on a heckler, spoke of his journey to sobriety, and how he is back and more dangerous than before.

Moxley wasn’t the only absent star to return, as TNT Champion Cody Rhodes made his return after several weeks away. Rhodes spoke of the ‘forbidden door’ and how he built it, saying he would never turn heel because of the fans supporting him back when he did it. Cody spoke about several members of AEW’s roster before landing on interim TNT Champion Sammy Guevara, before announcing the two will meet in a winner-takes-all ladder match for the TNT Championship at Beach Break, WrestleMania X style.

Before Beach Break though, Adam Cole and Britt Baker teamed for the first time to take on Best Friends’ Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander. Baker wanted Cassidy to fight her, and he obliged with his trademark sloth-style kicks. After this it was off to the races, as the two teams battered each other all over the ring side area, the action coming to a head with Baker nailing Statlander with a vicious Pittsburgh Sunrise on the ramp as Cole hit a Panama Sunrise in the ring for two. Baker and Cole set a table up at ringside, but Baker ended up going through it after Cassidy accidentally knocked into her after Cole evaded an orange Punch. Cole readied The Boom for the win, then checked on Baker.

Later, Cole challenged Cassidy to an unsanctioned Light’s Out match at Beach Break next week.

The Kings of the Black Throne made their in-ring debut after Brody king’s debut last week, steamrolling through an unconfident Varsity Blonds. As Black and King celebrated, PAC appeared on screen, saying he sees clearly, and instead of bowing before Malakai, he is going to make him a martyr.

Lance Archer made his long-awaited in-ring return, defeating a spirited Frankie Kazarian, as Jake Roberts and Dan Lambert watched on. Post-match Lambert disparaged Hangman Page on the mic once again, until the AEW World Champion came out to slap Archer, with the two brawling in the ring as animosity between the pair increases.

And in Dynamite’s main event, Sting and Darby Allin teamed up once more to take on The Acclaimed. However, the majority of the match was a handicap match, due to Bowens and Caster jumping Allin pre-match, and forcing him to the back. This only fired Sting up, who rolled back the years as he dished out some classic Sting offence on the Acclaimed. Allin eventually made it to the ring, and as Sting crushed Caster through a table with a diving splash off the stage, Allin put Bowens away with a Coffin Drop.

Elsewhere:

Chris Jericho voiced his displeasure at Eddie Kingston on the mic, but Santana and Ortiz weren’t on board.

CM Punk made short work of Shawn Spears, then thwarted an MJF sneak attack.

The Gunn Club hit Christian Cage with a sneak attack in search of a tag title shot at Jurassic Express.

A frustrated Leyla Hirsch turned heel after attacking Red Velvet and Kris Statlander backstage.

Serena Deeb destroyed Sky Blue with ease.

And Matt Hardy revealed that he has sold 51% of the Hardy Family Office to Andrade el Idolo, renaming it the AHFO, as Andrade reiterated his desire for Darby Allin to join them.
