AEW Double Or Nothing Match Between Hangman Page And Pac No Longer Taking Place

"Creative differences" is the word...

Due to what AEW has termed "creative differences", Pac will no longer be appearing at AEW Double or Nothing next Saturday night, and his match with Adam "Hangman" Page has been canceled.

Page and Pac did a match and angle at the WrestleGate show in Nottingham on Saturday, which concluded with Pac saying he wasn't going to be at Double or Nothing.

Dave Meltzer notes

that Pac takes his status as Dragon Gate's Open the Dream Gate champion very seriously, and has gone to draws with the likes of Zack Sabre Jr and Will Ospreay in lieu of doing decisive finishes.

Unable to apparently agree to a finish for next Saturday's event, AEW sent Page over to England to do the match for WrestleGate. AEW will apparently be releasing the match online for free this coming week, so that fans anticipating seeing their clash still get something out of it.

AEW is leaving the Page/Pac rivalry open, with the idea that they could go back to it in the future. In the meantime, Page will be issued a new opponent for Double or Nothing, though Meltzer speculates that the opponent won't be announced before the pay-per-view.
