Over the last year, AEW’s Saturday Night Collision has had the misfortune of going head-to-head with WWE’s premium live events, which take place on a Saturday. In recent months, WWE’s more frequent international shows, Collision hasn’t had to take on WWE’s biggest shows face-on as often. Collision recently battled against the Money In The Bank PLE, which took place in Canada. With SummerSlam bringing WWE back to the US, it will be taking place during Collision’s usual time slot.

Instead of competing against SummerSlam, TNT/TBS TV listings have revealed that Collision will be moving from its 8pm EST time slot. The August 3 episode of Collision will instead be taking place between 5pm and 7pm EST, which will instead place it during the SummerSlam pre-show. With WWE’s pre-shows being full of recaps and no matches, Collision will likely fare much better in terms of viewership than it would going up against SummerSlam directly.

Collision’s August 3 episode won’t be a live broadcast, instead being taped on Thursday August 1 at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where AEW will have a residency for several episodes of Collision and ROH.
