A long-absent WWE talent is scheduled to return later this month, at least for a few non-televised live events.

Meiko Satomura is being advertised for WWE's house shows in Japan at the end of July that will see the company visit Edion Arena in Osaka on Thursday, July 25 before two shows from Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27.

Satomura is being advertised for the shows along with the likes of Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kairi Sane, Asuka, and Dakota Kai. Asuka is currently out of action with a knee injury, however, and she is not expected to wrestle for the remainder of 2024. She could make a non-wrestling appearance at the house shows in Osaka and Tokyo, though.

Meiko Satomura has been signed with WWE since 2020 and she was one of the top stars on NXT UK, even holding the NXT UK Women's Championship for 451 days until she dropped the belt to Mandy Rose and the title was unified with the NXT Women's Championship. NXT UK was then shut down shortly after.

Satomura had a handful of NXT matches after WWE closed NXT UK, although she hasn't wrestled for the organisation since a loss to Roxanne Perez in March 2023. Satomura has only had one match over the past year, wrestling at Fortune Dream 9 in June 2024. She also had a cameo in the Toden Train Match between Minoru Suzuki and Sanshiro Takagi.
